Biography
Fengfeng is a Ph.D. student in Structural Engineering in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. His undergraduate major is Physics. His graduate research focuses on developing computer algorithms to simulate the behavior of connections used to connect beam and column members of a multi-story steel building frame when they are subjected to earthquakes. He has served as a teaching assistant in numerous undergraduate courses. He has excellent knowledge in mechanics, structural analysis and design, and developing custom-made computer software and using commercial software to conduct analysis, simulation, and visualization. He has experience in using multimedia software such as Dreamweaver, Director, Flash, Freehand, Photoshop, Premier, Carrara, etc. for web publishing and animation. He has completed a project using simulation and animation software to illustrate wave refraction, interference, and stationary waves. He has also served as a teaching assistant for a mechanics course taught completely using the Web at the College of Engineering, University of Oklahoma. All exams, and homework problems were made available on the Web, and he created most of the materials. He also, answered all questions posted by the students on the Web.
