Autobiography
As an undergraduate I majored in chemistry and minored in environmental
science at Tuskegee University. While at Tuskegee University I was an
avid member of the American Chemical Society and the Tuskegee University
Marching Band. During my undergraduate studies I completed internships
with Georgia State University’s Chemistry Department; the University
of Cincinnati’s Nuclear and Radiological Engineering Program, and
I also completed two internship at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory;
the first was in High energy Physic and the second was in the Indoor Environment
Department. During my graduate studies I have completed internships with
the National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health in the Health-Related
Energy Research Branch – Exposure Assessment and with Idaho National
Laboratory’s Nuclear Energy-Aqueous Separation and Radiochemistry
Department. While at the University of Cincinnati I’ve become a
member of the American Nuclear Society, the Health Physic Society, and
the Society of Women Engineers. Currently I am a second year graduate
student pursuing a PhD in Radiological Engineering. This is my first year
as a Fellow in Project STEP.
