Biography
Philip is currently a first year graduate student pursuing a master’s
degree in electrical engineering with a focus on electronic materials
and devices. His research includes the fabrication and testing of an organic
light emitting diode (OLED) using rare earth sulfides. He graduated from
the University of Cincinnati in June of 2002 with a bachelor’s degree
in electrical engineering. During his undergraduate experience, he held
co-op positions at Keithley Instruments and LTV Steel Corp. At Keithley
Instruments he worked as a test engineer and tested the programming of
new instruments and their drivers. LTV Steel provided him with experiences
of PLC programming, AutoCAD design and fieldwork to solve high voltage
issues. His subject strengths include mathematics, chemistry, computers
and semiconductor electronics. He is currently a member of the institute
for electrical and electronics engineers (IEEE) and the Golden Key National
Honor Society.
