Biography
As an undergraducate I majored in computer science and spent the first
part of my career managing MIS and Accounting. I returned to school for
a career change midlife and got a degree in elementary education. I spent
the last 15 years specializing in the integration of technology across
the curriculum. While I have taught math, science, and technology in the
classroom, most of my work within schools has been in technology coordination,
implementation, training, and integration as Technology Coordinator/Director.
My strengths are in mentoring teachers in technology integration to raise
student achievement. I am also certified in integrating assistive technologies
and have worked hard to integrate assistive technology to help students
overcome learning and physical disabilities.. Working closely with school
administrators, I have been responsible for evaluation of school programs,
writing school improvement plans, and implementing teacher mentoring programs.
In the fall of 2005, I will be entering the Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction
program for a Specialization in Education and Knowledge Technologies at
the University of Cincinnati.
