Biography
I am a senior at the University of Cincinnati. My major is Civil Engineering. My area of concentration is Structural Engineering. I have co-op work experience at several firms. I worked as a drafter at Steven Schaefer Associates in Evendale, Ohio for six months. After that, I interned at another structural engineering firm, GMS LLP in New York, NY. There, I checked steel shop drawings and performed some steel framing design and concrete slab design for high-rise buildings. During the summers of 2002 and 2003, I conducted research with Dr. Kukreti and Dr. Shahrooz with funding from an NSF REU grant. At some point in there, I gained experience with project management at Cleveland Construction in Mason, OH. Currently at school, I am the president of the student chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers, a member of the steel bridge competition team, a member of the Big Beam design team, and a player on the club hockey team.
