The International Co-op Program (ICP)

The International Co-op Program (ICP), administered through the Institute for Global Studies and Affairs (IGSA) , at the University of Cincinnati, provides exciting opportunities for UC engineering, business, design, architecture, and planning students to learn a second language and gain international experience through an overseas co-op assignment. The University of Cincinnati is one of the few universities in the United States which offers such a program. The International Co-op Program was established in 1990. Since then, many companies and individuals have helped build a solid foundation to create opportunities for students to explore the global market.

International Co-op Programs are currently offered for German, Japanese, and Spanish, with plans to add a fourth language in the future.

Over the past ten years, students have ventured to Germany and Japan to participate in a wide variety of co-op positions. As of Spring of 2001, students also traveled to Latin America and Mexico as part of the International Co-op Program.
