Chemical Engineering Graduate Student Association
The Graduate Student Association in the Department of Chemical Engineering (ChE-GSA) provides a platform for all the graduate students to participate in group and social activities. It also helps to promote better interaction between the graduate students of the University of Cincinnati through the events organized by Graduate Students Governance Association. It tries to raise the issues concerned to the graduate students before the faculty and the department.
ECECS Graduate Student Association
The purpose of GSA of ECECS is to 1) Serve as a liaison with the university administration through graduate students assembly; 2) Encourage unity and good communication within the organization by implementation of organizational meetings, social activities, seminars etc.; 3) Encourage participation of members in campus and community activities by posting and/or distribution of announcements regarding such opportunities.
Engineering Ambassadors
The Engineering Ambassadors is a service organization for the advancement of the relationship between the students, alumni, faculty & staff and friends of the College of Engineering. This is achieved through the involvement in various events and activities sponsored by the College of Engineering. Engineering Ambassadors also serve as tour guides for the College of Engineering tour program, and help promote the college to prospective students.
Engineering Tribunal
Engineering Tribunal is the representative governing body of the College of Engineering, and membership is open to anyone - engineer or not. Engineering Tribunal is an extremely active organization that organizes numerous exciting events throughout the year. These events include an engineering career fair, sweatshirt sale, E-Week fun and games, quarterly TGIF parties and Co-op Information Night. Their bi-monthly meetings are held on Mondays, and they welcome anyone who is interested in learning more about what makes the College of Engineering tick.
Graduate Student Governance Association (University Website)
The Graduate Student Governance Association (GSGA) is a university-wide organization comprised of graduate students from all areas of academia. The graduate students from any department may form their own graduate student organization. Significant financial support of the individual groups is provided from the university through the GSGA. GSGA provides an information pool for all events and university decisions involving graduate students. Most importantly, however, is the fact that the GSGA has proven useful in the past as a means for graduate students to voice their concerns about graduate education at both the departmental and university level.
Institute of Transportation Engineers (National Website)
The ITE student chapter at the University of Cincinnati is involved in activities which provides the students with an opportunity to interact with academic and professional groups and individuals in the transportation engineering profession. It assists the students in fostering the development of professional spirits through attendance at conferences and meetings, both at the state and national level. The meetings and discussions throughout the year will help one to understand the current issues related to the transportation engineering profession.
Laboratory for Recreational Computing
If you are a student who's interseted in all levels of computer gaming, from design & programming to grapics and playing LaRC is and organization you'll want to join. LaRC is currently involved in creating a cross-platform C/C++ Input/Output event handling API, and using theese API's to develp a full blown 3D game.
LaRC is interested in any student willing to work. All levels are welcome!!
