Balakrishna Haridas, PhD

Associate Professor

Dr. Haridas is also the Director of the National Science Foundation (NSF) funded Minimally Invasive Medical Technologies Center (MIMTeC). This is a NSF-Industry consortium formed by Dr. Haridas to conduct applied research to develop enabling technologies that will advance the next generation of minimally invasive therapeutic and diagnostic devices.

Dr. Haridas’s interests are in the following areas:

  • Biomechanics of pelvic floor disorders and urinary incontinence in women
  • Biomechanics of intracranial aneurysms and endovascular devices
  • Medical device design and minimally invasive surgery
