Daria Narmoneva, PhD
Associate ProfessorDr. Narmoneva is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering in the Colleges of Medicine and Engineering. She has graduated from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology with an M.S. degree in Condensed Matter Physics and received a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University. Thereafter, she was a postdoctoral fellow at MIT, followed by 2-year work at Brigham & Women’s Hospital (Harvard Medical School) as an American Heart Association postdoctoral fellow. Her current research interests are focused on the process of capillary formation (angiogenesis) and how this process can be manipulated for several tissue engineering applications, including diabetic ulcer healing and cardiac tissue regeneration following myocardial infarction.
