The biomedical engineering program curriculum allows for a pre-med option that would prepare a student for medical school. The pre-med option includes courses in the curriculum that provides information to assist the student in taking the MCAT exam. You can apply for dual admissions to the BME undergraduate program and the UC College of Medicine through the Connections-E program. When you meet Connections-E requirements, you are guaranteed a place in medical school upon completion of your BME degree.
