Emeritus; Ph.D. 1980 University of Pittsburgh) Dr. Pant's teaching and research
interests include intelligent transportation systems; transportation engineering; traffic
engineering and control; traffic flow theory; highway engineering; highway safety;
knowledge based expert systems; neural networks; fuzzy logic; transportation demand
forecasting; mathematical modeling; computer applications in transportation; and emerging
technologies in transportation.

Cincinnati) Mr. Niehaus's teaching and research interests include traffic engineering and
control; and city and regional transportation planning.
