How to ...

Evaluate your Course and Professor Online

Ron DuPlain, Computer Engineering, Class of 2007

As of winter quarter, the College of Engineering is conducting all course and professor evaluations online through the "Zoomerang" web survey tool. The new tool replaces the older scantron forms and provides convenience to students as well as higher quality of evaluation results to the College administration.

Students can evaluate courses and professors in just a few minutes from any computer connected to the internet, on-campus or off, by following these steps.

1. During the 7th or 8th week of the quarter, check your Bearcat Online (email.uc.edu) inbox for an e-mail from Jack Krebs with a subject of "Course Evaluation" with the quarter, course code, and name of the professor.

2. Click on the web link in the e-mail to start the survey process.

3. From the "Zoomerang" entry page, click the "Start Survey!" arrow.

4. The next page requests 5 responses rating your course and professor. Indicate your response to each prompt by clicking on the respective number icon.

5. On the same page, the survey has an optional text box which you can use to speak your mind about the course and professor.

6. Review your responses before clicking on the "Submit" arrow.

7. The next page provides confirmation of the survey completion. Note that all survey participation is anonymous.

Look for evaluation results in the lobby of Baldwin Hall at the start of each quarter.
