Letter from Engineering Alumni President Stephen James
Dear Fellow Alumni:
As the school year comes to a close shortly, I would like to congratulate the senior class. The Engineering Alumni Board welcomes you as our newest alumni and encourages each of you to participate in and support alumni activities that benefit both the college and the students.
On Friday May 16, as part of the University's Alumni Weekend, the College of Engineering will hold its All College Awards Banquet. Last year, the COE recognized distinguished alumni at an evening ceremony which was very successful and well attended. This year, the Dean and the Alumni Board are working together to again make this a successful and well-attended event. In addition to this event being an awards ceremony, the COE and the Alumni Board intend for this to be a fundraiser via contributions and sponsorships. I encourage all alumni to attend or support the event through contributions, sponsorships, and attendance. On May 17th at 1:00 PM the UC Bearcats play baseball against West Virginia. Engineering alumni who attend the game will be reimbursed by the Engineering Alumni Board for the cost of their ticket. |
The next important activity for all COE alumni is the election of Board members and Officers. A ballot and information on the slate of candidates is available at the following web site (http://www.eng.uc.edu/equad/articles/spring08/alumninews/ballot/ for your review and voting. I encourage everyone to review the slate and vote.
I and many other Board members will be attending the Awards Banquet. We all look forward to meeting you at the event.
