Subject: Co-op Employer Assessment for ABET

The Employer Assessment of Professional Practice Student survey form correlates extremely well with the ABET Criterion 3, "Program Outcomes and Assessment" criteria a-k.

The college has retained the support of the College of Education Evaluation Services Center to collect and analyze the data from this form and a corresponding form completed by the students, Student Report - Professional Practice Assignment. I have been working with Cathy Maltbie and David Sacks on this project.

The following assessment contains some initial results based on a set of data collected from the past year. We plan to continue to analyze these data by degree program and class, i.e. AsE class of 2002, AsE class of 2003, etc.

These initial results look extremely good. The employers are very pleased with our students and in addition, the self-assessment of the students agrees very well with the employer assessment.

A final note. The accreditation train is leaving the station. Please get on board.
