equipment in the areas of computer science, software systems, artificial intelligence, neural networks, image
processing, electronic design automation, MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems), microsensors, millimeter waves
and photonics, nanoelectronics, and optoelectronics.
Research Groups Data and Knowledge Management: This group focuses on issues relating to storage, retrieval, and mining of data in databases. Experimental Computer Systems: All issues relating to the Computer Systems perspective, includiong operating systems, compilers, computer architecture, networking, and wireless communications, are the focus of research projects carried out in this group. Information Processing and Communications: The research focus of this group includes signal and image processing, communications, communication networks, video processing and communication, coding and information theory. Intelligent Systems: If you are interested in designing and analyzing an intelligent algorithm or system using any of the theoretical formalisms, you will find shared interests with some members of this research group. Internet Computing and Information Science: Faculty belonging to this group focus on technologies for computing and communication across Internet or any other networked system. MEMS and Nanoelectronics: In this group the research activity relates to electronic devices, microstructures, and microfabrication with applications in the broad area of MEMS and BioMEMS. Photonics and Nanostructures: The primary focus of this research group is the coupled areas of photonics and nanostructures, with an emphasis on deice fabrication issues. Quantum Computing: This group researches all things relating to the growing field of Quantum Computing. RF-Microwave Communications: All aspects of RF and Microwave communications, circuits, devices, and systems are the research focus in this group. Systems Modeling, Decision and Control: The common themes that define the research in this group aremathematical systems modeling and decision and control. VLSI Systems: This group has interests in all aspects of VLSI systems, starting from design and going up to testing and applications. |
