Below is information and forms needed for M.S. and Ph.D. defenses, graduation and CPT. You MUST also read and follow the University guidelines available at: http://www.grad.uc.edu/graduation.aspx GRADUATION DEADLINESYou must meet the following two University deadlines in order to graduate, application deadline and submission deadline. Failure to do so will delay your graduation to the next quarter. GRADUATE SCHOOL CHECKLISTGraduation material to be submitted to the Graduate School, 110 Van Wormer Hall. COE Department Forms and Graduation MaterialsApproval Form for Courses Taken Outside COEPLAGIARISM PLEDGE & SafeAssign UPLOADAll students must upload their MS thesis or Ph.D. dissertation to SafeAssign as part of the department graduation process. Follow the instruction below for uploading. If you have questions or problems contact your graduate program coordinator.
Once uploaded do not wait to submit your thesis/dissertation to the Graduate School. Continue to meet all the Graduate School deadlines for thesis submission. If I have any questions about the results of your Safe Assign plagiarism check they will be directed to your advisor. Plagiarism Pledge Petition Form MASTER'S THESIS DEFENSE FORMSFollowing forms are needed for a Master's Defense: Master's Defense Public Notice - This form must be submitted to your program coordinator in the graduate office, 701 ERC, a minimum of one week prior to your defense. College of Engineering Defense Form - This form will be signed at the defense by all the committee members. After the defense it must be submitted to your program coordinator in the graduate office, 701 ERC. Program of Study - This form is used by students in Civil and Environmental, Materials Science and MINE. It must be completed and signed by your advisor. It should be submitted to your program coordinator in the graduate office, 701 ERC after your final defense. Note: AEEM & Chem Eng. have their own program of study forms either listed below or on their department web page. A program of study is not required for ECE or CS students at the time of graduation. Art Guild Binders Information Sheet - Advisors in the following programs require one copy of your thesis/dissertation bound and submitted to them. A receipt that the bound copy has been ordered must be submitted one week prior to graduation at 701 ERC. This is a graduation requirement. Programs that require a bound thesis copy to their advisor are: Electrical and Computer Eng., Computer Science, Aerospace and Biomedical. All other programs require you to ask your advisor is he/she wishes to have a bound copy. If the advisor requests a bound copy of your thesis a receipt that it has been ordered should be submitted to 701 ERC one week prior to graduation. Exit Survey - This should be complete and submitted to your program coordinator prior to graduation at 701 ERC. Civil and Environmental Engineering has a separate exit survey form, and it can be downloaded from here. Ph.D. PROPOSAL DEFENSE FORMSPh.D. Advisory Committee Form - This form should be completed if any members of your committee are not UC College of Engineering Professors. Complete the form, attach a 1-2 page Bio of the committee member and turn into your program coordinator in 701 ERC. Ph.D. Candidacy Form - This form will be signed at the proposal defense by all the committee members. After the defense it must be submitted to your program coordinator in the graduate office, 701 ERC.
