The College of Engineering has eighteen outstanding graduate programs that offer Masters and Doctoral degrees: The graduate programs are designed to provide students with advanced knowledge and experience in their fields of interest. Course offerings cover the latest developments and are taught by faculty that are internationally recognized in their fields. Graduate students typically perform state-of-the -art research in close collaboration with a faculty advisor to develop a thesis or dissertation for their degree. Some programs also offer a course-based Masters program. The College faculty attracts approximately $20 million/year in external funding for graduate research from governmental agencies and industry. Consequently, topics for graduate research are in relevant and important areas. Additional information on the faculty and research areas can be found by using the program links above. There is a strong demand for MS and PhD graduates from the College. Employers include industry, government research laboratories, and academia. Typically, Masters graduates attract starting salaries in excess of $60,000/year, and PhD graduates in excess of $80,000/year. Attractive financial aid packages are available for qualified students. These include tuition scholarships and Assistantships and Fellowships that provide full tuition plus stipends in the range of $18,000 to $28,000 per year.
