However, it is not known how the structural and dynamic properties of their sensory endings contribute to this sensitivity. Our research group combines expertise in computational neuroscience and electrophysiology to model the electrical properties of the sensory endings. In particular, we are modeling how the locations and interactions of the two types of membrane channel optimize the sensitivity of the biosensor. | |
