Master of Engineering Program
Application Instructions

Students are required to complete the UC application for graduate admission.

The requirements for admission into the MEng program include:

• Must hold a BS degree from an ABET accredited college (or equivalent if from an international university) in a corresponding engineering discipline and must provide transcripts from the institution where the degree was obtained
• Have a minimum undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 3.0
• Provide 2 letters of recommendation
• Submit a statement of purpose
• GRE - General Test Required
• TOEFL test required for international students

A student may request a waiver of some of the above requirements (e.g., undergraduate GPA less than 3.0, or undergraduate degree not in engineering) and admission to the program if they provide sufficient evidence to the departmental graduate program director that they have had sufficient experience in an engineering profession to warrant a waiver.
