Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical engineering has been traditionally characterized by broad technical activities in product and machine design; manufacturing and production engineering; design of thermal-fluid and/or mechanical systems; and design, analysis, and development of energy producing engines or devices. It is still characterized by its traditional activities mentioned above. However, the profession has grown even broader and more diverse. Today's mechanical engineers solve urban, nuclear, medical, aesthetic, and environmental problems, as well as those in mechanical design, research, development, and management.
