Freshman Engineering Program

Unsure of what engineering program is right for you?

Would you like to explore the different areas and the opportunities they provide before making a decision?

The Freshman Engineering Program (FEP) will help you make an informed decision!

  • Learn about various engineering disciplines through the "Engineering Concepts" course
  • Receive mentoring from outstanding faculty and staff
  • Speak with current students about curriculum and cooperative education assignments

Students are admitted into FEP two ways:

  1. As an undecided engineering student
  2. After being denied direct admission to their first choice engineering program.

* To be guaranteed admission to the student's first choice engineering program, FEP students must maintain a minimum GPA through the completion of spring quarter of their freshman year. That minimum varies by major and from year to year.
