WIRELESS REQUIREMENTS:
The Office of College Computing recommends the following configurations for use of the wireless network:
1. Laptop running either Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Mac OS 10
2. Wireless card that is 802.11b/g standard (802.11a cards are not supported)(see end of packet for recommended cards)
The wireless network can run on Windows 98 SE and Windows ME but not recommended due to major complications and the instability of the operating systems
REGISTRATION:
To register the wireless card (whether built in or external card), a MAC/Ethernet address needs to be registered. The MAC address can be found doing these following steps:
1. Insert the wireless card into the PCMCIA slot on the laptop (skip if system has a built in card)
2. Install the card if not already done (Install Client Manager is using Windows 2000)
3. Click on the Start button at the lower left of the desktop screen (Figure 1)

4. Click on the "Run" Line
5. Type "cmd" in the bar (Figure 2)
