Effective immediately, College of Engineering vehicle usage is being implemented. In addition, there will now be a rental charge of $10/hour or $100/day to be paid by all users via NIU prior to use.

These changes have been necessitated by:

      Unreported damage to the passenger van;

      Vehicles being requested/used for non-research related activities;

      Vehicles returned with litter throughout, the gas gauge on empty, left at the loading dock instead of at parking garage, etc.

We regret having to take this action, but the college can no longer support transportation costs of research activities without recouping some of the expenses involved for routine maintenance, repairs, gasoline, and insurance. Please inform your students accordingly.
