2009 BARBOUR AND COHEN AWARDS

Each year, an award for furthering good faculty-student relations (the George B. Barbour Award) and two awards for excellence in teaching (the A.B. [Dolly] Cohen Awards) are given to UC faculty members. We are presently seeking nominations for these awards. All nominations for the award must come from students or alumni.

The President's faculty awards committee has a website, which provides all the necessary guidelines for these awards.

The George B. Barbour Award is given annually "to the professor at the University who has contributed most to the furtherance of good student-faculty relations." The award honors that individual who has stimulated and participated in such relations over a sustained period of time.

The A.B. (Dolly) Cohen Awards are given each year to faculty members who have demonstrated superior ability as teachers, and who have maintained a high quality of teaching over a sustained period of time.
