A list of projects is being prepared.

One fun project we are currently working on is building a robot for the AUVS Competition in June, 1999

The vehicle has six major parts:
1. Overall control program
2. Steering system for guidance control
3. Speed system for control
4. Vision system for line following control
5. Sonar system for obstacle avoidance
6. Remote control emergency stop.

This year we are redesigning the sonar system to improve its capability for locating obstacles. Also, a fuzzy logic controller is being added to the vision. We are testing the robot each Saturday from 12 noon in the Robot Vision Laboratory at 552, Rhodes Hall.

Other projects are pending approval of various proposals to the National Science Foundation and others. We have a talented team and are looking for work.
