The Center is an interdisciplinary collaborative enterprise. Collaborations have been conducted with the Institute of Applied Interdisciplinary Research. the Institute of Advanced Manufacturing Sciences, the Ohio College of Applied Sciences, the University College, Raymond Walters College, the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Computer Science, the Department of Material Science, the Department of Psychology and others. Collaborative efforts are encouraged with other university departments interested in industrial robots and intelligent machines. The Center was instrumental in the award to the Department of the Eminent Scholar Endowed Chair in Advanced Manufacturing and in the award of the NSF Multi-University Material Handling Research Center. The Center also encourages international collaborations. Past and current collaborations with the Tianjin Institute of Technology in China, Nagoya University in Japan, Oulu University in Finland have been very successful and have resulted in joint grants, papers, and patents. |
