UC ASME's BikeWorks

BikeWorks Fix-It dates for 2006:

    BikeWorks Objective:

BikeWorks is a UC ASME Project that takes used, donated bicycles, restores them, and gives them back to worthy families in the Clifton & Coryville communities. ASME works cooperatively with the St. George Interfaith Food Pantry to make this happen, and make young childrens dreams come true.

  • We will be working on bikes for a few hours almost every other Sunday during the Quarter.

  • BikeWorks will meet in the High Bay Lab on the 5th floor of Rhodes Hall. Dates will be announced soon.

BikeWorks Highlights (2003 & 2004):

  • Gave 20 bikes during the Chirstmas season.
  • Reached over 40 families in the Clifton and Corryville communities.
  • Gave Away a Safety Helmet with each Bicycle
  • Gave Away a Bike Lock & Safety Information with each Bicycle
  • Recognized as Channel 9 Hometown Heros ( Download the Video Here! )
  • See PICTURES from Give-Away-Day here!

Thank You BikeWorks Sponsors & Donors:

A special Thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Dick Horn who contributed a substantial amount of parts and materials. Also, BikeWorks would like to the numerous bicycle donors. This would not have been possible without you!

BikeWorks takes any type of donation. We accept bicycles, parts, funding, and especially labor! BikeWorks does ask that any donated parts be new, and any donated bicycles be in working condition. For More information on BikeWorks, Email us at monnindm@email.uc.edu.
