Sustaining the Urban Environment is an exciting research, education, and outreach initiative at the University of Cincinnati. Students, faculty, and staff are partnering with citizens of metro Cincinnati and around the globe to understand how to make 'city living' more sustainable. The success of this effort hinges critically upon the participation of our best, multidisciplinary students. Opportunities exist for undergraduate students to participate through volunteer activities, cooperative learning, and capstone/independent design projects (i.e., a student team wrote a document describing the life of a UC student living in UC's sustainable residence hall entitled, "A Day in The Life of Susie Q Sustainable," and a student wrote a document answering the question, "Is UC a Commuter Campus?". We are also anxious to recruit the best and brightest graduate students with diverse backgrounds including (but not limited to) urban planning, environmental engineering, public health, economics, and political science.

If you would like to learn more about opportunities for students to participate in SUE, please contact us via email.
