Welcome to the University of Cincinnati College of Engineering, the home of cooperative education. It was here in 1906 that Herman Schneider became Dean of the College and implemented his co-op plan "joining theory and practice, linking education and industry through knowledge and experience" in the Departments of Chemical, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineering. In the century since its inception, the co-op program has thrived and has been replicated at least in part by more than one thousand institutions of higher education throughout the world.

With an annual operating budget of $39 million, the College of Engineering has over 700,000 square feet of space in three primary buildings: Baldwin Hall (1911); Rhodes Hall (1971); and the Engineering Research Center (ERC-1995). The College of Engineering features eight outstanding undergraduate degree programs and is home to 1950 undergraduate students, 1000 graduate students, 143 full-time faculty, and 19,500 living graduates. Additionally, the College of Engineering now boasts a robust research program of $21 million annually.

We welcome you to explore the College of Engineering and discover why so many of our alumni are so successful!
