Engineering Research Center (ERC)
Designed by world renowned architect Michael Graves (B. Arch. '58, D.F.A. (HON.), the 175,000 square feet Engineering Research Center opened in 1995 to accommodate engineering faculty and graduate students working on state-of-the-art research. The $40 million building is centrally located within the Clifton campus. Directly behind it is Rhodes Hall; to its left is the Bookstore; and to its right are The Alumni Center and Faculty Club. Creating a striking appearance between the academic ridge and the campus green, the ERC is a major part of the University of Cincinnati Master Plan having a total of 355 rooms including 110 laboratories, 89 faculty offices, 200 graduate student offices, and 13 seminar/lounge/conference rooms. The ERC is connected to Rhodes and Baldwin Halls via a two story bridge on the sixth and seventh floors. |
