Paladin Spells

Inspiration Book

Courage:

Min prep reduced to 6.

Duration cap reduced to 38 minutes.

Power levels are now: slightly, normal, greatly, and immensely.

Stamina increase reduced to meet global maximums.

Mana difficulty increased.

Righteous Wrath

Effect reduced.

Duration increased.

Clumsiness effect does not appear except at much higher preps.

Trothfang's Rally

More mana needed for same balance increase.

Recent change - mana needed reduced, and mana difficulty increased

Sentinel's Resolve

New messaging.

Has no apparent affect on magical defense.

Banner of Truce

Massive duration increase.

Must now work against MR.

Anti Stun

Now reduces the chance of being stunned.

Heroic Strength

Not released yet.

Marshal Order

Have no data on earlier version.

Divine Guidance

Gives the same messaging as existing spells that are not yet released, hinting at the near completion of this spell.

Justice Book

Halt

Massively reduced chance of being turned.

Duration capped around 30 seconds.

Very bad at piercing MR, making min prep casts less useful.

Smite Foe

Min prep reduced to 10.

New messaging.

Now always strikes the chest.

Uses normal combat messaging for level of vitality hit.

Does much more vitality damage now, and much less critical damage.

Does damage based upon remaining critter vitality.

Sorry, but the compact is still active.

Smite Shield

Gone. Combined with Smite Weapon to create Shatter.

Divine Armor

Min prep reduced to 10.

Now affects worn shields, but to a lesser extent, depending on prep.

Appraisal no longer shows the spell is in effect.

Armor can be focused on to show remaining DA duration, even when worn. Shields must be in hand.

Is now stackable, with the duration increase dependant on the prep of the initial cast, as well as the prep of the new cast.

Protection/absorption increase reduced. Durability now increases. Hinderance does not increase.

Hands of Justice

Not released yet.

Bond Weapon

New messaging.

Holy Warrior

Spell difficulty reduced.

Spirit drain gone.

No longer automatically sets all stances to 100, but rather adds 60 stance points to be allocated. Stance is not automatically changed when spell begins, only when spell ends.

Note: Damissak is considering making the spell stackable.

Smite Weapon

Gone. Combined with Smite Shield to create Shatter.

Clarity

Have no data on earlier version.

Smite Horde

Not released yet.

Shatter

Has spell and mana difficulties similar to Smite Weapon.

Affects all weapons and armor the target is currently holding or wearing.

Damage to both equipment and unequipped target reduced.

Compact applies.

Prereq: Halt.

Prep/Cast

Casting near the backfire range will sometimes cause power to leak, reducing the power input the spell recieves. Note that this can be a fraction, so adding mana into the leaking range can increase power input into the spell.

Backfires can now be slight, normal, and large.

Backfires now have a chance of causing nerve damage.

Mana contributed from cambrinth can now cause backfire.

Casting spells of a different mana type now has a random chance of failing catastrophically, destroying the caster's hands and arms.

Harness

Remaining harness is now displayed with worded text and a graph, reflecting ranges of percent of total harness remaining.

Held mana is now displayed with worded text. 1 mana, for example, is "tiny."

Magical Devices

Non-magic using guilds, such as thieves and traders, can no longer use prepping magical devices, but can still use self-casting ones.

Self-casting devices, such as wands, now use MD skill in place of PM and TM.

Cambrinth contributes to backfire, as listed above under Prep/Cast.

Snake charms and teleport hammers can now be focused on.

Snake charms no longer are affected by BMR.

Unverified rumor: Cambrinth can now be charged with mana types they are not attuned with and the cambrinth will merely not accept it, rather than explode.

Scrolls

Bards can now invoke any scroll, regardless of prereqs. Certain spells that are considered guild specialties are still off-limits, such as Ressurection.

You can now STUDY scrolls, which will sacrifice some tdps and a spell slot to permanently learn the spell. Spells can only be studied if they are in your guild's spell book.
