This page is dedicated to my Hometown, Akron, Ohio . This properous and geographically rich city is located in the center of quaint Summit County.


Akron was at one time the Rubber Capital of the World. Virtually every rubber product was manufactured in Akron.In fact the industry was so heavily concentrated there, that it was once considered one of the prime locations to bomb by Russia during the Cold War.Without tires, belts, and gaskets for military and civilian vehicles, the United States would have been crippled by such an attack.

Pictured above is the Blossom Music Theater. This beautiful complex is nestled in the heart of the Cuyahoga Valley National Recreational Area just Northwest of Akron. Its serves as the home of the Cleveland Symphony Orchestra and hosts many popular groups and performers every summer.
