I was born in an obscure little town called Buldhana, in Maharashtra, India. After spending short periods of time in Hyderabad and Bangalore, my dad transferred to  Chennai and then Pune. I have spent a major part of my life in these two cities, and have great memories associated with these places in particular.

As for my formal education, I did my Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering at the Maharashtra Institute of Technology, University of Pune, following which I worked for a year as an Engineer at Magna Steyr Engineering. The picture (above left) was taken in the company lounge, during one of the leisurely moments. It was good work, and I learnt a lot out there, thanks to the support of my colleagues and the guidance of my supervisors. Its always great when work is fun! Following that, I decided to obtain a Masters in Mechanical Engineering, and shifted base to the US.

Currently, I am working on my Masters thesis research, under the guidance of Dr. Randall Allemang, at the   Univ. of Cincinnati, Ohio.
